Commercial Kitchens

Commercial Kitchens require automatic fire suppression systems. To protect against potential fire hazards caused by cooking appliances and the grease associated with them, fire suppression units are placed in the hood, duct and over the cooking appliances. The system can either be automatic or actuated by use of a pull station installed near an exit. After actuation, a mechanical gas shut-off valve provided with the system shuts down either the electricity or the fuel supply to the cooking units.

Industrial Dry Chemical

The three classifications of applications which use the Dry Chemical process are electrical, carbonaceous and flammable liquid. Dry chemical systems employ pressurized cylinders that propel the dry chemical to the hazard. This system is used with either heat actuated detectors or electrical thermal detectors. To comply with the requirements of NFPA, a supervisory control panel must be installed and used in conjunction with the system.

Low Pressure Carbon Dioxide(CO2)

A refrigerated unit contains the carbon dioxide in its liquid form. Sized according to the needs of the client, the unit displaces the oxygen required for combustion. This makes evacuation of personnel from the hazard area, prior to discharge, essential. The system may be discharged manually outside the hazard area or automatically by the use of thermal detectors.

High Pressure Carbon Dioxide(CO2)

This method is used for small applications and local applications. Cylinders are connected to a manifold and aimed as a specific hazard area. The system can be either manually or automatically activated.

FM 200 Systems

FM 200 is the least toxic of extinguishing agents. This makes it ideal for hazards where personnel have either limited exit or work in populated environments. The system can be engineered for use in such special applications as computer rooms, tape storage vaults, telephone switching buildings, museums and high traffic and high density buildings.
